Mess Free Play with Playfoam **REVIEW**

**AD - Review**

Evelyn is a huge fan of messy play, even her 9 year old brother has been known to join in with our messy play games so its something I try to set up quite often. However since having a new carpet fitted I am always really wary of what sensory/messy play we can do in the home on rainy days or days when we want to get out of the sun.

So when I heard about Playfoam, a fantastic squishy "foam" that is relatively mess free, I was so excited to give it a try with the kids, not least because it promises lots of fun but without the mess!

Playfoam is a totally unique creative play product made from non toxic products and perfect for children as young as 3. Playfoam will never dry out and is perfect for use indoors as it will only stick to itself and not carpets, hair or clothing etc!

The kids couldn't wait to try it out and I have to admit so was I! I wasn't too sure what to expect in terms of texture but it was strangely satisfying to squish between your fingers. The only way I could describe the texture is like slightly tacky small polystyrene balls. It doesn't stretch and pull like slime but does have a slightly tacky texture (but doesn't make your hands or table etc sticky!).

We received the Playfoam Combo 8 pack for this review, which contains 8 vibrant pods (four original colours and four sparkle) and it contained a generous amount of Playforam, more than enough for both James and Evelyn to get creative with.

As I mentioned above, one of the great things about Playfoam is that it won't stick to your things! The bead like structure is perfect for letting little imaginations go wild and build anything they can think of. It is soft and easy to mould but still holds its shape well making it great for building and getting creative with. All that without leaving and sticky residue or bits of Playfoam behind on clothes, carpets or surfaces.

It is worth noting though that once mixed together its basically impossibly to reverse back! Evelyn now had one huge ball of multicoloured Playfoam, which she loves but it is worth nothing that once mixed it cannot be separated again.

Playfoam has been a big hit in our house and I think I will order some more to take camping with us as Evelyn can play with it in the tent and I don't have to worry about the mess! The kids have played with this lots now and its been left out overnight on the table and even in the garden one night and it didn't dry out at all!

The Playfoam Combo pack is priced at £9.00 which we thought was a fab price as you do get lots of Playfoam and a variety of colours too. It is available to purchase from Learning Resources along with lots of other different Playfoam sets.

Do your kids have any favourite messy play or sensory play activities?

xXx
