Teachers Gift - Gift Guide

**AD - Gifted**

Summer is finally here and the sun is making an appearance which is lovely right? This also means that school is almost over for another year and as sports day come to an end and both teachers and children start preparing for the end of the year, us parents are trying to find the perfect way to say thank you to the teachers who do such amazing jobs with out children.

I know that gifts for the teachers might not be for everyone but for me personally I think its a lovely way to end the year and to say thank you for all the hard work that teachers put in. I mean as a parent myself my TWO children often drive me to the brink, so anyone who can stand in front of a class of 30 kids, keep their cool and with so much love and care for 6+ hours a day deserves a special thanks I think!

So I have out together a list of some lovely teachers gifts I have spotted this year to help you out when choosing a gift for your child's teacher this year.

Lily O'Briens Chocolates

Chocolates are always a winner when it comes to gifts and these Lily O'Briens chocolates make a great gift for teachers, TA's or for giving to the office staff to share around. The share bags are perfect for popping into gift bags or handing out for the staff room for all the staff to enjoy. Available in four delicious flavours which include Mega Milk Chocolate, Crunchy Salted Almond, Creamy Caramels with Sea Salt and 70% Dark Belgian Chocolate.

Or if you are looking for a chocolate selection that is even more special then check out the Lily O'Briens dessert selection! Presented in a beautiful gift box, this delicious gift box contains a collection of the world's best loved dessert recipes including Hazelnut Torte, Passion Fruit Posset, Banoffee Pie, Creme Brulee, Raspberry Infusion and Key Limey Pie! There are two box sizes available containing either 18 or 30 delicious chocolates.

Letterbox Pamper Hamper

With all the hard work teachers and teaching assistants do over the course of a school year, I think they all deserve a bit of a pamper when the summer holidays come around! These fab letterbox pamper hampers make a great leaving gift and contain everything a teacher/ta could need for a bit of tlc and relaxation!

Each box contains Happy Jackson Happiness is Chocolate Shaped Chocolate Bar, Yes Studio Lip Balm, Yes Studio "Ooops" 12 Mini Emery Boards, Bonnet & Belles Vintage & Co. Hand Cream, 5 x Chamomile Tea Sachets, Clipper Organic Hot Chocolate Sachet, Monty Bojangles Scofflets Maple & Hazelnut. You also have the option to personalise this gift with a short message and name inside.

Personalised Fingerprint Tree

I absolutely love giving personalise gifts and always find such lovely gift ideas over on Not On The High Street. This year I volunteered to organise our reception class teachers leaving gifts with us parents all putting a small amount of money each into a pot to buy a group gift for the teacher. So when I came across this beautiful fingerprint tree I knew it would make the perfect class gift!

Each tree can be personalised with every name from the children in your class (or you can leave the tree blank without names). It can also be personalised with a message on the trunk of the tree as well as a few sentences at the bottom of the tree. I was able to see a proof before the tree was printed and sent too.

Each child can then print their fingerprint onto the tree (you do need to purchase ink separately). I will then be framing the print ready to hand to the teacher. These fingerprint trees make a lovely personal keepsake that any teacher can look back on for years to come.

Buyagift Voucher

Some people prefer to gift experiences rather than gifts and Buyagift certainly have you covered if this is you! They have a huge range of experiences for everyone from thrill seekers, adventures, short breaks and a day at the spa. One gift I spotted over on the website was voucher for a delicious afternoon tea which I think makes a lovely teachers gift.

There are a variety of afternoon tea experiences to choose from including a traditional afternoon tea, a luxury afternoon tea and even champagne or gin themed afternoon tea's! You can also search for experiences near you using the handy search feature so you ensure your voucher can be used locally for your chosen teacher.

Another great feature of Buyagift is that if for whatever reason the teacher cannot use the experience you chose for them, they can easily swap and exchange it for a different experience without any fuss.

Wildflowers Wine Glass

Fresh flowers are lovely but they don't last very long, so why not get a floral gift that will last forever? These beautiful hand painted wildflower wine glasses are all hand painted by US artist Lolita.

Every 15 oz bouquet wine glass features a bright floral selection as well as every glass featuring a individual wine cocktail recipe on the base of each glass. Each glass is mouth-blown and hand-painted using food grade non-toxic paint to create the stunning designs with each glass slightly different due to the hand made nature.

Teachers are pretty amazing when we think about it right? I mean they take our children and help them grow, learn and thrive. They are there for our children when they are sad, need a hug or to share their moments of joy. They are the ones who teach our children so many skills, help them form friendships and support us parents in any worries we have, questions that need answers or help that we need.

Do you buy your child's teacher a gift? Do you prefer shop brought or homemade?

xXx
