Zoflora 3 in 1 disinfectant **REVIEW**

Before I had children cleaning the house was dare I say it a doddle (well compared to now anyway lol). Me and my partner were both working and I would often light a scented candle whilst we were home in the evening to leave a lovely scent in the house.
However since having children keeping the house fresh tidied and smelling nice has become more difficult, I can no longer light a scented candle for fear of little fingers wanting to touch and vases of flowers are often a no go with James wanting to touch or pick them lol!

Then I was recently contacted about review Zoflora, A 3 in 1 disinfectant and I was intrigued, A product that could clean and leave the house smelling lovely sounded like a winner to me!

Zoflora is a 3 in 1 disinfectant that comes in a wide range of fragrances so not only does it clean but it really does leave the house smelling lovely too!
The smell Zoflora gives off is strong but not over powering and stays in the air for ages. I used it to clean our bathroom and we could all still smell the lavender fragrance the next morning.

When the bottle arrived it looked quite small and I wasn't sure just how far it would go however for most cleaning jobs Zoflora should be diluted 1 part disinfectant to 40 parts water meaning it really does last. I was also worried that watering it down so much would effect the fragrance but it didn't at all.
I have also started adding a drop or 2 down the toilet of an evening just before we go to bed and it leaves the bathroom smelling lovely and fresh come the morning. It is also handy to wipe over the bin with especially if you have a bin in the kitchen that can sometimes get a little smelly this will definitely eliminate that problem.
Zoflora is available in a huge range of fragrances including Cherry Blossom, Warm Cinnamon, Apple Orchard and Country Garden.
and can be used on such a wide variety of surfaces such as sinks, drains, toilets, baths, taps, floors, kitchen work surfaces and even potties!

Zoflora kills 99.9% of bacteria, eliminates odours and leaves you with all day freshness and with so many fragrances to choose from im sure you will find one to suit you. Why not pop over to their website here  www.zoflora.co.uk and check out the range of products available.

Have you tried Zoflora before? What did you think? Do you have a favourite scent?

Pink Lining Yummy Mummy change bag **REVIEW**

When I think of changing bags I think of Pink Lining! and the iconic Yummy Mummy logo! Their changing bags are not only stylish and oh so pretty but are super practical too. Offering endless space, pockets and clips to hold everything you and baby could need.

So when we were offered the opportunity to try out a Yummy Mummy bag I think I may have squealed with excitement!
We were sent the Yummy Mummy bumble bees and stardust bag to try and isn't it pretty!

The Yummy Mummy is Pink Linings most popular changing bag. The exterior of this bag features the Bumble Bees and Stardust print and has two canvas elasticated side pockets with pretty PU bows and a front canvas pocket with Yummy Mummy slogan and cupcake patch.

The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap that is long enough to fit over any pram/buggy handle bars.
As well as that the Yummy Mummy bag also features  2x insulated bottle holders, 2x nappy pockets, pen holder, key fob, small zip pocket, padded changing mat and wet zip bag all inside!

When the bag first arrived the first thing I noticed was the quality. The bag was sturdy and the canvas handles and longer canvas strap included are well made and attach to the bag well. The bag is also beautifully lined with a vibrant pink lining (the signature pink lining stamp!). The attention to detail is second to none.

There is so much room inside this bag that I really cannot convey it over photos. The bag was big enough to not only fit everything I required for a day out (phone, purse, keys etc) but everything for Evelyn including bottles, toys, spare clothes and snacks and there was even room for a few items of James! This is the first changing bag I have found that was able to easily fit all of our things in without the need of an extra bag for James' items!

The bottom of the bag features silver studs which protect the bottom of the bag when you are putting it down. I really like this feature as I am often putting my bag down in all sorts of places and these stop the bottom getting dirty or ripped.

I love the whimsical look of the design on this bag, The bumble bees and soft purple flowers give it a quaint spring/summer feel and the small brightly coloured stars give it a pop of colour. The design is completely unisex too.
This bag is priced at £79 which is quite pricey but really worth every penny. The bag is well made, sturdy and built to last as well as look beautiful! For that price you are not only getting the change bag but a changing mat and wet bag that fit fantastically inside the bag.

Pink Lining not only sell Yummy Mummy bags they sell a whole variety of bags including childrens rucksacks, Change Bags specifically for twins, Holdalls, Totes and even wallets and Bottle warmers to match the bags and so much more.

If you havn't already you really should pop over and check out the Pink Lining website here - www.pinklining.com.
You can also stay up to date with all the latest news and offers on the Pink Lining FACEBOOK and TWITTER pages.

Which design is your favourite?

Making Bath time more fun!

James and Evelyn love bath time the sheer mention of bath sees them both heading up the stairs quicker than Usain bolt of the starting line!

Evelyn loves to splash especially if mummy or daddy are close enough that she can get us wet too with the end result usually being our bathroom looking a tad waterlogged. James seems to think our bath is a miniature swimming pool and pretends he's a shark or spends more time with his head under the water than above!

Tonight, I wanted to make bath time a little more fun and so I made them both a special bath a "glow bath". I simply ran the bath as usual with lots of bubbles and then popped several glow sticks into it then switched of the bathroom light to surprise them. James' face was a picture when he saw it and he couldn't wait to get in.

If you didn't want to use glow sticks, you can buy a bath disco light too!

This got me thinking about different ways of making bath times more fun and here are some of the ideas I found.

Bath Crayons.

Do you have a budding little artist or a child who likes to doodle? then this could be a great way to make bath times fun. Children can use these bath crayons to draw on the side of the bath/ tiles and their doodles are simply washed away when they are finished.

Bath alphabet letters

Since starting school James has been really enthusiastic about sounding out and spelling everything so we purchased some bath alphabet letters like these from Nuby to use at bath time. They are not only fun but educational as well. We try and encourage James to spell his name or his sisters name and he has great fun.

Bubbles!!

Most children love bubbles so a bath time with extra bubbles is sure to be a big hit right!? How cute is this penguin bubble blower from Munchkin. The one above features suction cups on the back so you attach it to the tiles and fill the bathroom with bubbles and let the children try and pop them and they come down.

Bath toys.

There are so many bath toys on the market now that you are sure to find some that your children will love. James's favourite is the type that squirt water (these are not my favourite as I am usually the one getting sprayed with water lol!) These are a great addition to any children's bath and can provide lots of fun and entertainment for children of varying ages. Here are a few of our favourites above. my personal favourite is the Mega bloks Build 'n' splash set which we found on the Toys R Us website.

Do you have any fab ideas to make bath time more fun or do your children have a favourite bath time activity or toy?

5 top tips for the perfect roast dinner!

Cooking a Sunday roast is a rite of passage once you get to a certain age. I’m now married and, having always been pretty much a disaster in the kitchen, I thought now was the time that I master the holy grail of English meals. My mum is a brilliant cook and cooks a delicious roast every Sunday and so, channeling inspiration from her, here are my top tips for getting your Sunday dinner spot on.

1.       Yorkshire puddings need hot oil
For the most delicious light Yorkshire puddings, forget all about Aunt Bessie’s. Believe it or not, Yorkshire puddings are relatively easy to get right. Heat vegetable oil in a bun tray for ten minutes at 180 degrees before adding the Yorkshire pudding mix and cooking for a further twenty minutes. Make sure you use self-raising flour and you’ll get big, fluffy Yorkshires.

2.       Fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside
This is the way that roast potatoes should be. Par boil potatoes for eight minutes before shaking them in a colander – this will give them their fluffy texture. Cover them with oil and the juices from your meat before roasting them for an hour or so.

3.       Not too crunchy, not too soft
Veg is a very important part of the meal and it’s usually not people’s favourite so you need to make sure that it’s the right consistency. Everyone’s had that mushy broccoli that reminds you of school dinners and that is totally not what we’re going for here. However, don’t cook them for long enough and they taste raw. Keep checking the veg throughout the cooking process to make sure it’s perfect.

4.       The creamier the better
When it comes to mash potatoes, the above really is true. No one likes lumpy mash, so to make sure it’s really smooth add butter and milk to taste (this is not a meal for those watching their weight!) and toss aside the potato masher after the first few mashes and use an electronic mixer to get them super smooth.

5.       Relax!
Although it can be a bit of a juggling act working out all the timings for all the different elements, try not to worry too much – it’ll all come together in the end. Pour yourself a glass of Prosecco and try to really enjoy the whole experience.

Evelyn's 7 month update.

It doesn't even feel real writing it, My little girl is 7 months old today !

Time has flown by and it feels like every day that passes she gets a little bit bigger and much more cheekier. She is slowly gaining her own little personality and is such a happy, chilled out baby although when it comes to waiting for food or milk her inner diva definitely comes out!

Evelyn is now sitting up unaided for several minutes at a time (before getting lazy and flopping to one side lol), She also now rolled from her back to her front and onto her back again. She can also stand up whilst holding on to our hands or holiding on to her toys, this is her latest trick and she is so pleased with herself when she does it.

She has her 2 bottom teeth now but we are still waiting for the 2 top teeth to come through but these seem to be taking forever.

Evelyn is loving food and exploring food. We are going with the moto of "food is fun until their 1" and so Evelyn is just having lots of fun trying new flavour, textures and tastes and is basically having what we eat along with some extra fruit, veg and yoghurts. As you can see she loves her food lol.

(I would like to add she didn't actually eat any of this it was just for a picture)

James and Evelyn are still super close and she always has a smile for her big brother. Now she is getting more confident with sitting up James has loved being able to sit down with her and she her toys and play with them with her. He gives her a big kiss and cuddle every morning before he heads into school and it melts my heart seeing them together. I am sure once Evelyn is old enough to get hold of his transformer toys and chew them we will have a few tantrums and arguments but until them I am enjoying the love they both have for each other in all its cuteness!

Happy 7 months baby girl!

Wayfair Race Track toy box/ desk **REVIEW**

So now the excitement and hype of Christmas has ended if you are anything like us you are left with a small mountain of toys in your living room or the children's bedrooms?
It can be hard to find storage solutions that are big enough for all those toys but that also look good but that's where the people at Wayfair have it sorted!

We recently received the Wrigglebox Rack track toy box and desk to try out and you can find out what we thought below.

The desk arrived flat packed and with a easy to follow set of instructions. We did need to have a good read through the instructions first but once we had got it it went together really easily and it took around 1 hour to put together with 2 of us (This could probably be done quicker but neither me or my husband are very good at putting furniture together lol!).

What I particularly loved about this toy box/ desk is that it features 2 Hinge stays which prevents damage to little fingers and stops the lid of the box from slamming down. It also means the lid stays put when lifted up.

The colours on the box are vibrant and fun and the box is covered with a clear lacquer which makes it hard wearing (even after James has driven his cars over the top several times!). The toy box/ desk looks great in his room but also looks great in our living room as all his toys are tidied away nicely. The desk aspect has been great as James recently started school and has had a few bits of casual homework and some reading to do so the desk has provided him with a quiet place to sit and do this.

The dimensions of the box are -
  • Overall Height - Top to Bottom: 50cm
  • Overall Width - Side to Side: 80cm
  • Overall Depth - Front to Back: 60cm
  • Overall Product Weight: 17.5 Kilogram
Meaning the box has ample space for lots of toys!

Overall we love this toy box/ desk. It is stylish, sturdy and provides a great storage solution aswel as a desk and entertainment is provided via the race track top, it really is all you need bundled into one item.

Wayfair don't just sell storage solutions they are the online destination for all things home! Why not check out their website here www.wayfair.co.uk.
