Celebrating National BBQ Week with Wilko

**AD - Review**

We may have all just enjoyed an nice long bank holiday weekend, but did you know that this week is also National BBQ Week

I mean not that my kids need an excuse to ask for a BBQ tea, its their absolute favourite! But I had no idea that this week was National BBQ Week until Wilko kindly got in touch to ask if we would like to try out one of their fantastic family barbecues and of course we said yes!

If you aren't familiar with Wilko they are a family owned business who stock a huge range of both home and garden products for the whole family at amazing prices. From sprucing up your living room to adding some fun or comfort to your garden, Wilko have you covered and at prices that won't break the bank either.

As I mentioned above my two little ones are rather fond of a BBQ so when our new BBQ from Wilko arrived the kids practically jumped up and down and sent me straight on my way down to the shops for burgers and bread rolls. But first we had to build the BBQ and since my husband was at work I decided I would attempt it myself.

Putting the BBQ together was actually easier than I thought! It does come with quite a few bits but all of the bits are labelled with numbers/letters and the instructions come with both words and labelled images making them really easy to follow. It took me about 25 minutes on my own but with two of you it would probably only take about 10 minutes! It was more fiddly trying to hold 3 bits in place (the screws and parts) which took the time.

Within 30 minutes we were ready to go and our new BBQ was ready to be put to the test!

The Wilko Kettle Charcoal BBQ has a chrome plated steel cooking grid making it durable, robust and long lasting. It even comes with convenient space underneath for storage such as your cooking tools and even has a handy ash receiver directly under the main BBQ grill to catch any ash which may escape.

The grill measures approximately 44cm in diameter and is plenty big enough for a family of four like us. We managed to fit four large burgers on as well as 8 sausages and all cooked well without being too overcrowded. There is even a large, high handle to help you remove the lid without getting burnt.

The BBQ looks stylish and as mentioned above has a good amount of grill/cooking space without being too bulky. We have a fairly small garden and so have to be really careful with what we buy for it but this fits in the corner and takes up minimal space when not in use, which is handy.

The base of the BBQ also has three handy clips which secure the lid to the base when not in use, ensuring it wont get blown about in the wind and rain when being stored. It also meant once clean and dry I could store the grills inside the BBQ without worrying about them getting lost or damaged.

I couldn't find any faults or problems with this BBQ and we have tried it out twice now. The only thing worth noting is that the website shows silver legs when it fact ours were black but obviously this doesn't effect use at all.

We absolutely love this BBQ and would highly recommend it, especially at just £30 too! Its a fantastic sturdy family BBQ at an affordable price and right now (30/05/2019) it is half price at just £15! So if you are looking to grab a summer time bargain this is definitely for you.

You can find the Wilko Kettle Charcoal BBQ via the Wilko website.

So what are you waiting for? Go celebrate National BBQ week in style with your very own BBQ and a little help from Wilko.

Do you have any go to BBQ recipes? I would love to hear them as I am determined to try out some new things on the BBQ this summer rather than just burgers and sausages! Please do share your ideas and recipes in the comments below as I would love to try some of them out.

xXx
