Travel and Holiday Essentials From PoundToy

**AD - Review**

The summer holidays are under way and the sun is actually shining. So for lots of us that means one thing, holiday! Lots of us will be packing our backs and heading off on holiday this summer and those with kids will know its not so easy to do with little ones in tow.

Whether you are traveling by car, plane or another mode of transport, there is no hiding the fact that kids get bored and they get bored quick! One thing I love to do to keep the kids entertained is make up a "travel pack" for them both. I usually use a cheap drawstring bag (as this can then double up as a swim bag or wet bag once on holiday if you wanted) and fill it full or toys, games and snacks to keep them busy.

This summer I have made our travel bags using products from PoundToy and honestly I was so amazed and the huge range of products and the fantastic prices too.

PoundToy is one of the UK's leading online locations to purchase high quality, branded character toys and games for children of all ages at prices that rival wholesalers. They stock brands including Peppa Pig, Batman, Paw Patrol, My Little Pony and many more. What's more prices start at just a few pence, yes that's right a few pence for some items!

Here are some of the products we chose for keeping the kids happy and entertained this summer -

Colouring In - We managed to grab a great selection on colouring in goodies and lots of these will be perfect to pop into our travel bag to keep the kids entertained in the car on long journeys! The mess free colouring packs have 18 colouring pages and 5 markers and since they are mess free they are great for in the car, hotel or out and about too!

The scratch magic packs are again perfect for keeping little hands busy in the car or when traveling etc and the packs are quite small so fit perfectly inside a handbag or travel bag.

Arts & Crafts - PoundToy has a fantastic selection of arts and crafts goodies and I grabbed these kits to keep the kids busy over the summer holidays. Each kit contains pretty much everything you need to do the craft inside so no last minute rushing around to find bits either.

Beach & Water Toys - No holiday essentials list is complete without some fun toys for the beach and pool! There is a wide selection of these products available on the website and we picked up the above. From buckets and spades to water toys there is something for every age range too.

Evelyn was so excited about the giant unicorn pool float and I know that these are really popular at the moment, this one was only £5!! which has to be one of the cheapest prices I have seen.

Mini Toys - Surprise toys, blind bags and squishes are so popular right now and there are so many to choose from over at PoundToy. I picked up all of these goodies and everything was under £1 each!

I grabbed the glow sticks for popping into my bag for the evening discos on holiday which will definitely save some cash instead of buying them there. The blind bag selection available at PoundToy is great too and I picked up these Disney and Marvel packs for the kids to have in their travel bags too.

Oh and the squishy lama's have to have a mention because well they are just awesome! Check out our video below to see just how much the kids love them!

In total I spent just under £50 for all of the above which included postage too! I managed to get everything to fill two travel bags for the kids as well as a few crafty packs for the kids to do over the summer holidays and even a giant unicorn pool ring to use both of holiday and in the paddling pool.

Pound Toy offer such amazing value for money and all of the products feel like great quality and were delivered really quickly too, perfect if you are looking to grab some bits before your holidays! I was amazed at just how much I managed to get for my money included lots of branded items for £1 or less.

The website itself is really easy to navigate and use too. You can opt to have a general browse or to search using specific settings such as your child's age, categories such as crafts, sensory and outdoor toys, or by price brackets making it really easy to find exactly what you are looking for.

If you want to get another look at everything that was inside our box then you can watch our unboxing video here -

What do you do to keep your kids entertained on long journeys?

  5. I love this kind of thing for the plane- we have 3 kids and I'm constantly trying to find non-screen things as an addition to long journeys. Great prices too, AND some great ideas for stocking fillers (I know it's the summer, but...!)

  6. Toys like this, especially the coloring activities, are perfect for travel because they pack well and aren't so expensive you're upset if they're lost while on a trip.
