Shimmer N Shine InstaGlam Dolls **REVIEW**

**AD - Review**

Evelyn probably isn't what you would describe as the classic "girly girl" she is a kid who loves to get stuck in, get muddy and kick a ball round with her big brother. However when it comes to make up or dressing up she absolutely loves it, in fact I often find her rummaging around in my make up draw to create a new look or opting for a dress up ball gown for the school run! So when I heard about the new InstaGlam dolls that are fun dolls with a hidden make up secret I knew Evelyn would love them.

Shimmer N Shine InstaGlam dolls are stylish, fashionable dolls each with a hidden make up set surprise. There are four InstaGlam dolls to collect in total (Nina, Luna, Hayley and Evie) and each doll comes with a removeable sponge and brush applicator which are disguised as hair clips on each doll. They also contain hidden make up compartment which contains a makeup palette featuring two eye shadows and two lip glosses as well as a mini lipstick too and a mirror to help you complete your look.

The dolls themselves stand at around 4 inches tall and have poseable heads that are also removeable so that you can take the palette with you wherever you go or even swap heads on the dolls to mix and match them. Every doll also comes complete with a shiny gold stand that they stand on and that can be used to display your dolls, the stands each have the dolls names on too so you know who is who.

But these dolls also have another shimmering surprise to reveal too. Simply take one of the brush applicators that come with the doll, some warm water and wipe over the dolls make up on their eyes and lips to reveal a glittering make up look. It is worth noting that once you do this it can't be changed back so the surprise can only be revealed once.

Evelyn had great fun using the InstaGlam dolls both for playing with the dolls and as a make up set. She spent lots of time playing dress up, creating bright, colourful make up looks on herself and me so that we both looked like "princesses" for the day. She loved that there were 4 different colours in each palette as well as a mini lipstick and brushes so everything she needed to create a cute fun look was all within each doll. This is super handy for kids like Evelyn, who like to take their toys along to play with friends too as everything is contained together inside the doll!.

As a parent I liked that the palettes were fun, not too grown up but still letting Evelyn experiment with different make up and looks. The colours weren't overly bright or garish and most importantly they didn't seem to stain any of her clothes, are non toxic and washed off her face super easily with just water and a flannel. These dolls allow kids to explore their creative side with age appropriate make up sets that combine fun and make up in a complete kid friendly way.

The InstaGlam dolls are available from Argos, Smyths and Amazon and are priced at £9.99 per doll which seems reasonable considering you get the doll to play with plus the make up set.

Do your little ones love experimenting with make up? Do you think they would like these dolls?

**We received two of these InstaGlam dolls for the purpose of this review. However all words, opinions and images are my own.**
