5 Fascinating Excursions to Consider When Visiting Hurghada

 **Collaborative Post**

AD: Hurghada is a city in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt and with so much to see and do in the historical city, it is clear why it has become such a popular tourist destination. Founded in the 20th century, Hurghada is world-renowned for its coral reefs and its mixture of historic and modern tastes. Along with the stunning beaches and turquoise waters so commonly associated with the area, if you plan a trip to Hurghada, make sure you plan to explore the area too because there is so much to see and do.

The easiest way to do this is via excursions through companies such as Landious Travel who can arrange group or individual trips to a whole host of activities for you at a really reasonable cost. From spa days to swimming with dolphins or visiting historic landmarks, there are excursions to suit all. Below we are sharing 5 of our favourite excursions that we think you will love.

Explore Cairo and the Great Pyramid of Giza

Is any trip to Egypt complete without seeing the pyramids? The Great Pyramid of Giza is on many peoples "to see" lists and with it being the only one to remain largely intact it is clear why people are so keen to take in its beauty whilst they can. On this tour to Cairo from Hurghada you will not only get to see the Great Pyramids of Giza (home to Pharaoh Khufu, and the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world). But you will also get the see the Sphinx and take a trip to the Egyptian museum where you will find over 100 exhibition halls and a unique collection of around 150,000 unique pieces!

If history is your thing, this is an excursion not to be missed.

Discover the Red Sea on a Semi Submarine Trip

Have you ever wondered what actually lies below the sea's surface but you don't want to get wet or have to learn to scuba dive? We the Semi Submarine can tick all of these boxes and more. This unique excursion will see you climb aboard a two-deck semi-submarine allowing you to see a spectacular view of the stunning coral reef and Red Sea marine life whilst staying completely dry! Whilst the top of the boat floats, the bottom section of the boat is submerged around 4m under the water with this lower deck fitted with half a meter panoramic windows so you can get a really good look all around you.

After seeing everything from onboard the boat, this excursion also gives you the opportunity to then put on your flippers and snorkel and actually go into the sea itself, this is of course optional.

After this, as part of the excursion, you will then enjoy lunch on the boat before enjoying some children's entertainment a little later. It's a lovely relaxing excursion for those who love the beach!
