5 Of Our Favourite Kids Easter Eggs

It seemed like as soon as the clocks struck midnight on New Year the shops were stocking their shelves with Easter Eggs and other delicious goodies. A little early perhaps but I couldn't help but wander down the isle's dribbling at all the delicious chocolate and sweets on offer for this Easter.

There definitely seems to be more and more Easter egg varieties every year and this year is no exception. Easter goodies for kids don't just come in the simple egg shape anymore, they come in a variety of cute, fun and extravagant designs and shapes. Ranging from your cute classic Easter animals to kids favourites film characters such as Frozen and Minions!

As well as an Easter egg hunt, I like to get the kids one or two big eggs each to enjoy which they love so I thought I would share some of my favourite ones I have seen on the shelves so far this year.

Our Favourite Products For The Best Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter is quickly creeping up on us and the shops seem to have been ready for months with their shelves stocked high with Easter eggs and chocolate goodies as far as the eye can see.

Every Easter my favourite part has to be setting up an egg hunt for the kids when they wake. Its lots of fun seeing them hunting together and seeing their excited little faces when they find an Easter treat. Of course with them both getting older my hiding places are having to get more creative but that's all part of the fun right!?

When I was little my nan used to hide the little foil covered chocolate eggs and I remember just how excited I was at seeing that little glimmer of foil peeking out from a drawer. But I have noticed that in the last few years there are so many more products on the market now designed for these kind of Easter hunts and it definitely makes it more exciting for the kids not knowing what goodies they will find!

With that in mind I thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of the best Easter Egg hunt goodies I have seen this year, so here are some of my favourites...

Divine Milk Chocolate Speckled Eggs

Price - £4.75
Pack size - 170g

These cute speckled eggs are made from Solid Divine milk chocolate mini eggs encased in a crisp sugar coated speckled shell in an array of pastel colours. These eggs don't have a wrapper so would only really work for an indoor hunt, however they are so cute (and delicious) I had to include them. These eggs are fairtrade and suitable for vegetarians. They are also Free from artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives.

6 Of The Best Easter Eggs For Grown Ups!

When it comes to Easter us grownups don't want to be left out! There are so many Easter eggs out there for the kids, but what about the grownups? Well fear not there are lots of eggs out there aimed at us adults so we too can get out Easter chocolate fix!

Here are some of my favourites I have seen in the shops and online this year.

Divine Milk Chocolate and Tangy Orange Egg.

Pack size - 100g

If you love chocolate orange, then this is the egg for you! This egg features a delicious smooth fair trade milk chocolate shell which has been infused with a natural orange flavour giving it the perfect tangy taste. The chocolate egg is a decent thickness, and you can really taste the orange taste and the milk chocolate when you bite into the egg. The citrus tang to this egg was really good, it made the egg stand out to me from others out there as the orange flavour made it really moreish but not too sickly.

Easter Bonnets and Family Time.

Firstly I hope you have all had a lovely Easter!

Sorry the blog has been a little quiet over Easter but we took advantage of some much needed family time to just chill out with James home from school and Frank home from work for a whole week over Easter!

James had his Easter bonnet parade at school on his last day before they broke up for the Easter holidays here he is with his bonnet me and him made together, the tree idea was all his!

He also took his Easter bonnet along to a Easter egg hunt we took part in a few days later at our local park. He actually won a prize in their little Easter bonnet parade and here he is collecting his prize from the Mayor!

We also spent time with both our families over Easter as well as some chill out time at home. We did make the big decision that Evelyn is going to move from her cot to her bed and went out and ordered bunk beds for her and James. Keep an eye out on the blog as I will be sharing their room makeover here once it is finished!

Today was the last day we have together until Frank returns to work tomorrow so we decided to go bowling (James is always asking to go!). He loved it and was actually pretty good!

We finished today off with a meal out at a local family restaurant near us called The Fox. Both James and Evelyn were really well behaved and it was a lovely end to our family time. Of course James is still of school for another week and a half yet so I still have lots of days to fill but it was nice to spend some time together as a family of 4 without all the interruptions and ciaos of school and work.

Easter Parades and Baby Bunnies!

Its almost Easter and James has now broken up from school for the Easter holidays!

Last week both James and Evelyn got up to some Easter style activities and here is what they have been up too.

James had his Easter bonnet parade at school (his very first one!) and he really enjoyed it! He wanted a long tall hat so I made him a "mad hatter" style hat from cardboard and paper mache and then he painted and decorated it with chicks, bunnies and hand drawn animals (which I then stuck on). It was so lovely seeing his beaming smile and he walked in too school showing off his hat to everyone, seeing how proud he was of it was lovely.

Evelyn also got in to the swing of Easter during her weekly visit to Jolly Babies where the babies dressed up as rabbits and sang songs! Doesn't she look so very cute?

We have several Easter activities planned for next week with James being off school including Easter crafts, baking and we are even going to attempt to make our own mini Easter eggs. Make sure you keep checking back here to see all our activities.

Easter Sunday visit to The MSHED! (Bristol)

Hello everyone, I hope your all having a lovely easter? 

Well today in true bank holiday style it rained lol! So we decided to check out the Mshed in Bristol. 

The Mshed is a museum based in the centre of Bristol and it is all about the history of Bristol itself!

With James only being 4 and a half I wasn't sure how much he would enjoy it but he loved it! There was plenty for him to at and plenty of interactive screens all at kiddy friendly level so easy for little ones to use.
