2021 Christmas Gift Guide for Children Under 10

**AD - This post contains PR samples**

There is something about having children that makes you feel like a child all over again at Christmas right? I love seeing the magic of Christmas through their eyes, the excitement is almost contagious and their little faces light up at the sheer mention of Father Christmas or seeing a Christmas tree. My children have been writing their Christmas lists recently and whilst I usually generally know what kind of thing they are into, there are definitely always a few curve balls in there too!

Today I wanted to share with you some great gift suggestions for younger children (under 10 approximately) for those surprise gift, gifts for younger friends and family or just for those children who write down one present idea and they say they don't know (my daughter has done this before too!). Below is a selection of gift ideas for boys and girls, educational and fun and to suit all budgets too.

Brainstorm Toys - My Very Own Rainbow

There is something quite special about rainbows right (after all they were the symbol of hope throughout lockdown too!), but what about creating rainbows in your own home? Kids will love this super fun LED light projector that uses multi coloured LED lights to create rainbows in any darkened room on the walls, floor or even ceiling. This cute rainbow light can be used as a nightlight too as it has a handy auto-shut off feature so it won't be left on all night long. Inside you will also discover an additional little gift of a sunlight rainbow crystal that can be hung in the window and will naturally catch any sunlight and create natural rainbows around the room during the daytime too.

The My Very Own Rainbow light requires 4 x AAA batteries and is available from Wicked Uncle.

Ideal - Sneezing Panda Game

Fun games are always a hit at any time of year and I always try to gift a few fun, family friendly games to both my kids at Christmas. This Sneezy Panda game from Ideal definitely caught my eye because its perfect for all ages (from 4+) and looks fun yet easy to grasp for younger children to get involved with too. The aim of this game is to be the first to collect all of your colour flowers into the basket before the Panda sneezes, but watch out, if he sneezes all of the flowers will fly from his basket!

This game has two game modes, competitive or cooperative and requires 3 x AAA batteries which are not included.

Tomy - Mache Magic

Arts and Crafts always seem to make great gifts, especially sets that make things children can go on to keep and use. This Mache Magic craft set from Tomy definitely ticks all of those boxes and contains pretty much everything kids need to get started making paper mache crafts from scratch. The set contains a twist and press paper mache machine, two different machines and a bundle of message/sticker sheets as well as some glitter glue pens for decorating the crafts once they are ready. All you need to add is toilet paper and water then follow the easy to ready instructions. The press in this set makes it so easy to do, kids can even do this activity alone.

John Adams - Cutie Stix Creation Set

John Adams creating lots of fantastic toys and the Cutie Stix creation set is no exception. It combines cute little characters and emoji style designs with crafting your own jewellery for a set any child would love this Christmas. The Cutie Stix creation set makes it easy for kids to creating their own jewellery by chopping the "cutie stix" using the little chopping machine included, turning them into beads and then threading them onto elastic to create bracelets, necklaces and even keyrings of their very own. The set contains 15 "stix" which is enough to make plenty of jewellery and accessories, but the great thing is that when they run out you can by handy refill packs for a fraction of the price so you can use this set over and over again.

Light Up Neon Effect Message Frame

If your child loves doodling, drawing or leaving little messages for you around the house, they will love this fun way of bringing their drawings and messages to life in neon light. The Light up LED neon effect message frame is made from plastic and contains a central glass panel for writing and drawing on with the special pens provided. But the magic happens when you switch on the lights and see their doodles lit up in neon colours and really brought to life. The frame can be handheld or hung on a wall for a safer option and since the pens easily wipe off with a dry cloth the frame can be used time and time again.

The frame comes with 3 neon pens (a pink, green and orange) and requires 3 x AAA batteries to work. It is available to purchase from Wicked Uncle.

Smiggle - Count It Out Skipping Rope

A hop, skip and a jump... skipping a age old way of having fun and kids still love it now as much as us parents did when we were kids too! This super fun skipping rope from Smiggle would make the perfect stocking filler gift and it even counts how many skips you do so kids can set themselves challenges, goals or try to beat their friends. The skipping rope itself is a clear plastic with the handles being a smooth purple plastic with a built in skip counter and cute unicorn decal design.

Smiggle - Lunch Boxes and Water Bottles

Everyone loves a new lunchbox to stroll into school with after Christmas right? So why not include a new lunch set in their Christmas gifts this year? If you are looking for something that will really stand out then Smiggle have a fantastic range including Disney, Marvel and their own range which is full of bright colours, cute characters, metallic, glitter and so much more. Their lunch boxes often have matching water bottles (or you can switch up the designs) and are well made, insulated and perfect for every day use with plenty of room for lunch and snacks.

Smiggle - Fluffy Sand

Fidget and sensory toys have become so popular over the last year and Smiggle has a great range of these types of toys. Including poppets and these really fun and relaxing fluffy sand tubs. There are a range of character tubs available including bunny, pug and dino as well as a giant tub of rainbow fluffy sand. These make great stocking fillers and are loads of fun and very satisfying to play with as fluffy sand is unlike real sand, it is stretchy and mouldable. Plus there is a hidden surprise inside these tubs that kids will have to dig around in the fluffy sand to find (a small plastic toy of the character on the tub!).

John Adams - Crafty Surprise

Crafty Surprise mystery kits are another great stocking filler idea from John Adams. These cute little craft kits come in a fun crayon shaped tub and inside kids will find one of six mystery craft kits which include Panda bag charm kit, the BFF bracelet, the pretty Dream Catcher, the glittery kitten purse, the clay doughnut bowl or pencil toppers. Everything you need to create the craft is inside along with easy to follow clear instructions for the craft included, there are 6 in total to collect.

Wicked - Zzzopa Ball

Zzzopa is the world's first bouncing ball that includes high speed spin technology for the ultimate fidget ball. Each Zzzopa contains a high-quality bearing that sits on an axle within the centre of the 5cm ball. This means you can smoothly spin this basketball themed Zzzopa on your fingertips with speed, a spherical fidget spinner that's perfect for restless hands! The outer poly-active surface allows for incredible crisp bounces, combine with different spins to bamboozle your friends with crazy tricks, spinning jumps and ricochets. The ultimate ball game of spin, bounce and throw that can be used indoors and outdoors.

Collins - A Year of Nature Craft and Play Ideas Book

Over lockdown many of us (myself included) found a new love and appreciation for being outdoors. Since getting outside for a daily walk was pretty much all we could do many people found new and beautiful things in their local area they never even knew existed! So why not continue to nurture that love for outdoors with your kids this Christmas with this book that is full to the brim with 52 different activities that follow the seasons to enjoy as a family. Filled with crafts, gardening, games, art and science activities including summer mandalas, conker crafts and winter pine cone decorations it will keep kids busy and entertained all year round. The book shares activities that are budget friendly so you won't get caught out with any high costs and the activities are aimed at children aged 7+ but younger children could enjoy the activities with adult supervision too. The clear, easy to follow colourful instructions make all the crafts and activities easy to follow and do.

Chocolate Nail Polish Trio

Christmas just wouldn't feel right without some delicious chocolate to tuck into right? Well these funky yet totally delicious trio of nail varnishes may look perfect for your nails but they are in fact made fully from milk chocolate, and they taste absolutely delicious! Each one stands at around 7cm tall and is beautifully presented in a gift box with a clear front.

Illuminated Apparel - LED Light Up Gloves

Not only will these gloves keep little fingers warm, but they can put on a pretty cool light show at the same time thanks to the built in colourful LED lights they are lined with. These cosy black and white style gloves may look pretty normal from the outside, but press a switch located on the wrist section of the glove and you can activate one of 6 light show patterns from flashing lights to a calm glow of red, green and blue.

The gloves are available in two sizes, 4-7 years and 8-13 years and all batteries needed are included. You can find these at Wicked Uncle.

Scootaheadz and Scootaseatz

We have all seen funky and fun accessories for children's bikes, but what about scooters? Scooters are now a popular way for kids to get around on (and they are much easier to fold and travel with than bikes too), and Scootsheadz are making sure that bikes don't have all the fun when it comes to accessories with their super fun range of Scootaheadz and Scootaseatz. The Scootaheadz come in a range of designs from dinosaurs and ponies to mythical creatures like the one shown below. They are colourful cartoon style buddies that attach to the T-bar of any scooter for a lovely companion and fun accessory on any scooter ride.

They also have Scootaseatz which again attach to the front T-Bar of a scooter and come complete with a little seatbelt so your child's favourite soft toy or teddy can come along for a scooter trip too. There are currently 11 different Scootsheadz to choose from and two different colour Scootaseatz too.

Zimpli Kids - Gelli Baff and Baff Bombz

Zimpli Kids are all about kids having fun with their fun sensory slimes, gelli and bath bombz and that is why they make such great Christmas gifts. Their products are 100% safe, non toxic and easy to clean with no staining or skin irritation. Their range includes a fun Gelli Baff, a Slimm Baff, Sno Play and even Baff Bombz that create rainbows in the bath!

Hopefully these suggestions are helpful and help you find some great products for the kids you will be buying for this Christmas. Please do let me know in the comments if you like the look of any of the products above and what is on your kids Christmas lists this year.

xXx
