Easy Last-Minute Halloween Costume Ideas for Men

**Collaborative Post**

With September coming to an end and October officially here, Halloween is just around the corner (it has been in the shops for weeks after all) and no matter how much you tell yourself you will be more organised and have your kids costume ready on time, we all know that you’ll most likely end up looking for DIY ideas on the morning of October 31st. Gone are the days of using black bin bags and plastic witches finger tips but there are still some great DIY costume ideas you can put together!

To help you out this year, we’ve made a list of some fun (or creepy!) costumes that you can wear this Halloween.

Zombie Doctor

Zombie doctors have always been a popular choice for Halloween costumes, since it is creepy, fun, and easy to put together. To create such a costume, you will need to start with some basic items such as a white lab coat that you can thrift and make some rips and tears to make it look worn out. Then, find a pair of ripped up jeans and a sweater that you need to wear underneath the lab coat. Finally, the makeup is the most important part of the costume, so use some black eyeliner to draw lines down your face that resemble stitches and darken any circles under your eyes with dark eyeshadow to create the appearance of a walking dead.

Thomas Shelby

Although it has been a decade since the premiere of the Peaky Blinders series, Thomas Shelby remains one of the most iconic and easily recognizable characters in modern cinema and television. If you have a classic costume in your collection, consider your Halloween look done. All you need is a white shirt, a three-piece costume, and the iconic Irish flat cap. A great benefit of this Halloween costume is that you can easily wear it any other day of the year, for example the Irish flat cap as the ones you can shop on Gaelsong can become a part of any fall and winter outfit, while the suit can be worn for work or formal occasions.

Oppenheimer

This year, the cinema was impacted by two big movies, Barbie and Oppenheimer. While the girls will enjoy their bright pink dresses and jumpsuits, we men will recreate the main character of the latter. Ironically, this character is also played by Cillian Murphy just like Thomas Shelby. First, you need a white or light blue perfectly ironed button-up shirt that you’re going to wear underneath a classic suit in a grey or brown colour. Then, top off the outfit with a classy fedora, and don’t forget about the must-have K-6 ID badge that you can make yourself and you’re good to go.

Ghost

If you’re looking for an extremely lazy Halloween costume that still does the job, be a ghost this year! To create this costume, you literally need only two things: a white bedsheet and a pair of scissors. This outfit is the perfect choice for those who had no plans of going out on Halloween night but their friends made them, or for the ones who don’t find it rational to spend a lot of money and time on something they will only wear once a year, for a few hours. Plus, the ghost costume is great for men, women, kids, and even animals, as your dog is sure to look extra adorable with his little nose sticking out of the fabric.
