Extra Tips for Parents

  • Book early: Popular evening slots, such as FEARless and Pumpkin Patch Nights, sell out quickly.

  • Dress for the weather: Many outdoor events involve mud and chilly evenings — bring wellies and layers. If you or your kids are dressing up, add layers under your costumes such as leggings, long-sleeve t-shirts and fluffy socks!

  • Budget for extras: Things like pumpkin carving, rides, and food/drinks (those hot chocolates always look so good!) are often additional to entry, so be sure to bring some extra cash.

  • Look local: Community halls and libraries in Yate, Thornbury, Kingswood, and Patchway usually run craft sessions and discos and advertise these in their own windows or facebook groups etc so remember to check nearer the time.

From pumpkin patches to bug trails, Bristol and South Gloucestershire are packed with things to do this Halloween. Whether you’ve got toddlers in fancy dress, older kids ready for a bit of a scare, or teens craving something more adventurous, there’s something on this list for every family and every age so there is no excuse to be bored this Halloween

Make sure you book your tickets early, plan for the weather, and don’t forget your fancy dress (kids and big kids!). Halloween 2025 is shaping up to be the spookiest (and most family-friendly) yet!
