Soak & Sleep Bedding **REVIEW**

It doesn't get much better than fresh new bed sheets when you slip in to bed, so when we were offered some new bedding from the Soak & Sleep range I jumped at the chance!

Soak & Sleep aim to provide fantastic bed and bath products for a lot less than those on the high street whilst still maintaining a high quality. Soak & Sleep have stripped away the glossy advertising and fancying bags instead opting for their team to travel the planet and commission the finest products they could find at the prices they could afford keeping luxury in mind. The Soak & Sleep aim is simple, gorgeous home comforts, honestly priced, all powered by great customer service and that is exactly what you receive with Soak & Sleep. 

Our bedroom is quite neutral in colour (we are hoping to add a feature wall but can't decide on wall paper!) so I went for this gorgeous grey luxury embroidered bed linen and a beautiful quilted bedspread to accompany it in the stone colourway.

When the items arrived I could immediately tell these were top quality! They arrived quickly and well packaged with the bedspread coming in a large clear plastic zip bag which could easily be saved and used to store the bedspread when not in use.

The bed linen features a beautiful embroidered design which is finished with a flourish of mother of pearl buttons for that elegant touch. This has a 220 thread count and is amazingly soft. The design is chic and classic with the elegant touches from the embroidery, makes this a lovely set which could easily fit in to so many decor styles and feels amazing.

We ordered the double size to fit our bed and it fit perfectly. The pillows didn't slip around in the case and the duvet was secured with the   at the bottom of the duvet cover keeping everything in place throughout the night.

I haven't had a bed spread on my bed before but I am not sure I could ever be without now I have one! It really finishes off the bed and the over all look of the room. The Classic cotton quilted bedspread is a beautiful, vintage-style bedspread with a practical cotton casing which is washable too. I have found it the perfect thickness to sleep under in the summer too when the duvet is just too warm.

Partylite Candles **REVIEW**

I love candles!

I love the atmosphere they give, the smell, the soft glow and the flickering flame. I adore how they can create a cosy feeling, a romantic atmosphere or just generally make the house smell beautiful and all from a few simple candles!

So when I was recently contacted by a lovely lady at Partylite and offered some of the candles to try out I jumped at the chance and eagerly awaited their arrival. 

The candles arrived quickly and very well packaged snuggled safely inside a box full of packing beans to avoid any damage. 

I received 3 different types of candle to try and here is what I thought of each of them. 

The first set of candles I tried was this trio of candles from the Forbidden Fantasy range. Seduce, Desire and Tempt are the scents in these candles and you can sample all three new black Forbidden Fantasy fragrances with this trio. These looked great on my fire place and they glow with a lovely soft flickering flame. The smell isn't to over over powering either. They have a burn time of 35-45 hours each and the beautiful simple glass votives can be used again and again! 

The next candle I tried was the Partylite wild strawberry Escentials jar which smelt amazing before I had even taken it out of the box! Even just using one candle the smell was fantastic and really filled the room with a sweet, fruity strawberry smell. The candle works best if you let it burn for a while (until the wax has liquefied to the edges). It has a burn time of 40-60 hours. 

The final candle I tried was the Natures light scented jar. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about this candle at first as I had never tried a wooden wick candle before and I wasn't sure how it would smell once burning. However this quickly became my favourite candle! The wooden wick glows with a low wide flame and crackles just like a real log burning fire! A few of these on a fireplace or mantle if you don't have a fire would be amazing for creating a simple yet cosy effect. The Tamboti Safari™ scent we tried is an alluring blend of herbs and citrus enhanced with amber, cedarwood, musk and spice. It has a burn time of 40-60 hours. 

Since trying these candles I have to say I am such a fan of Partylite! The candles smelt amazing with a smell that really lasts long after the candle has been blown out. The glass jars they are in are sturdy, strong and classic which can be used time and time again even when your candle is all finished.

Lavina Lily Soy Candle **REVIEW**

I have to admit I am a sucker for a candle! I love lighting a candle of an evening and letting the house fill with the smell of whichever candle I have lit. There is just something that seems to make it feel a little more cosy when there is a candle or 2 burning on the side too.

When I was recently sent a candle from Lavina Lily I was so excited to open it up and discover the scent!
We received the Tunisian Neroli and Rose candle and as soon as I open the box the beautiful aroma hit me and I could smell the Rose instantly. The candle is presented in a quaint white box and inside the candle is presented in beautiful clear glass container with chrome lid. The candle has not 1 but 2 wicks inside and gives of a lovely glow when lit. The aroma from the candle is not overpowering at all and fills the room with very little burning time, We had ours burning for around an hour and the whole house (including the upstairs!) was filled with the beautiful aroma.

Abby the lovely lady behind Lavina Lily is a full time mummy of 3 boys who started making soy candles part time when her boys were at home which started to do well and grow, But she is now trying to make her beautiful candles and diffusers into a full time business.

Lavina Lily also offer Fragrance diffusers in many of the same fragrances mentioned above if perhaps candles are not your thing. 

These candles would make fantastic gifts and are priced at £16 each for the large candles I feel this is an extremely good and competitive price in comparison to other luxury candles on the market.
