Disney Vampirina Boo-Tiful Costume **REVIEW**

Evelyn loves to dress up! In fact you are more likely to find her parading around the house in a fancy dress costume than "normal" clothes at any given time. She loves her dressing up box and we are always looking for new costumes to add to it, so when we were recently offered the chance to try out a new costume, the Disney Vampirina Boo-Tiful costume I knew Evelyn would be up it!

The costume is Disney Junior's Vampirina, a show she has been watching since it first came on the screen and the catchy theme tune even has me humming along.

Colours of the sea Ariel **REVIEW**

There aren't many people out wont have seen or heard of the film The Little Mermaid. Its a Disney classic and even as an adult its a film I still enjoy to watch. So you can imagine my delight when Evelyn showed an interest in watching Disney films and of all the films we have watched together The Little Mermaid has been one of her absolute favourites. So when we were given the chance to try out and review a Colours of the sea Ariel doll I knew it would be a big hit with Evelyn.

Colours of the sea Ariel toddler doll from the Disney film "The Little Mermaid" who is able to fully submerge in the water and say 14 enchanting, recognisable phrases. Ariel's tail also shines and sparkles creating a beautiful light show when she is submerged in water at bath time. Of course Ariel wouldn't be without her trusty friend flounder though, who also comes included with this doll as a fun bath water squirter.

Ariel isn't just confined to being a bath toy though, she is so much more! With her wide tail she is able to stand unaided which has been perfect for when my little girl has wanted to use Ariel to play tea parties with. Her tail also light sup outside of the water too.

Ariel is larger than other standard size dolls making her great for toddlers as she is easy to hold and move around.

I was a little worried how her hair would cope once it had gotten wet as lots of dolls hair seems to get knotted and matted when wet. Ariel's hair however stayed silky soft and smooth and was easy to brush out and dry once out of the bath with her hair returning to almost the same style as it was when she arrived.

Would we recommend Colours of the Ariel? Definitely! She has been a huge hit with Evelyn and whilst the phrases can become a little repetitive for us adults little ones will loves them. The light show her tails gives off at bath time has made for great bath time fun and the lights are actually quite bright even under the water, lighting up a good portion of the bath water. She comes complete with the batteries required and so as soon as Ariel is out of the box the fun can begin. The doll feels sturdy and fantastic quality and it by far Evelyn's new favourite toy, its come everywhere with her bath time or not!

Does your little one have a favourite Disney Character?

Back to School with the Disney Store.

As September looms I am sure lots of us have been thinking about our children heading back to school or evening starting school for the very first time!

So today I am sharing my top tips for getting back to school and I would love to hear yours in the comments too!

Over the summer holidays we all tend to be a little more relaxed on bedtime and a routine which is great over the holidays but can be difficult to adapt back when school starts. Whilst it can be tempting to stick with the late nights and lie ins (if your lucky enough to get them!) try and get back in to routine the week before school starts. We try and set our alarms a week before school starts and setting a more sensible bed time so we can all adjust before school starts. Its makes it much easier if everyone is in that routine when school comes around.

- Let your child get involved in picking some of the items for going back to school, whether that's stationary and back packs or even their water bottles and lunch box. Having items they have picked will make your child feel involved and gives them a little responsibility. Also if they are like James excited to go and show their friends their new things.

- Try and arrange some play dates for your child with their school friends over the summer holidays. It can be quite daunting heading back to school if they haven't seen their friends for over 6 weeks so having that time to just chill and play outside of school can be really good. Even if its just arranging a trip to the park/a picnic with other parents and their children its a good chance for children to catch up outside of the school environment.

- If you don't already have one purchase a family calendar. It can be a great space for everyone to write things including events at school, school trips and record any important school dates that may affect everyone such as in service days. Put this somewhere everyone can see so that the kids can get involved in checking each day too.

- Start labeling EVERYTHING as soon as you can. I always underestimate how long this will take and end up rushing it. I get James involved in helping me pick name labels and let him choose a funky design so that he can easily recognize his own items from his name label.

If you are still looking for some back to school essentials why not check out the Disney Store, James has these super cool Marvel goodies to head back to school with and he is very excited to take them.

Do you have any top tips for those children heading back to school?
