Sleep Tight All Night sleeping aid **REVIEW**

Did you know that March is National Bed Month? Sounds great right but as parents most of us will agree that at some point or another bed times have been hard with out little ones!

Evelyn has never really slept well, in fact we thought to ourselves that things would get better as she older we couldn't have been more wrong! Evelyn likes to fight bedtime and still at almost 3 wakes in the night which can be difficult and tiring for us all.

When we were recently asked if we would like to try out the Sleep Tight All Night sleep aid and I knew it had to be worth a try.

The sleep tight all night is a 4 in 1 sleep aid concealed within a super cute cuddly companion. It uses soothing music and a light system to not only help your child drift off to sleep but to stay in bed until morning time. It offers a unique sleep aid system that has been based on scientific studies relating to the colours associated with inhibiting and encouraging sleep. That's not all though as this cuddly companion can be switched in to day time mode, complete with chirpy upbeat phrases to engage with your child in the day time.

You set the timings for these lights yourself with the easy to use buttons attached to the light module. You simply select how long you would like your child to sleep (anywhere between 30 minutes and 12 hours) and what sounds you would like if any. You can then push the button to the lock symbol and this will lock all your choices in place meaning they can't be moved or changed regardless of how wriggly your child is in bed!

Evelyn was delighted when she realised her new bedtime companion was a cuddly unicorn and I have to admit even I was taken by just how soft it was. For the first couple of uses it was more of a novelty and it did take a few nights for her to realise what the red and green lights meant but once she had the hang of it she was even telling her big brother when it was time to get up.

This  hasn't really stopped her night waking's but it has helped her settle back much quicker when she has woken which really is the purpose of this sleep aid. The music you can set is really soothing (falling raindrops, soothing surf, gentle heartbeat, whispering waterfall and comforting crickets) and having the soft glowing light as she settled back off definitely helped for her. She has also started saying "its morning my unicorn is green, can I get up?" in the mornings which is pretty cute and means she has started to gather what the lights mean which is great and has stopped her climbing of bed at 5am!

I also really like the fact you can set the timings on this in 30 minute increments as it makes it perfect for not only bedtime but nap time too!

These are aimed at children aged 12 months +, Evelyn is 2 (almost 3) and it has been perfect for her. Its definitely something I can see her using for some years to come too. If you have slightly older children then watch out for the new sleep tight all night characters coming in Autumn time which include Batman and a Dinosaur!

You can find the full range of sleep tight all night bedtime companions via the Golden Bear website. Be sure to let me know which is your favourite!

Something Special - Mr Tumble toys **REVIEW**

Something special is a program that is a firm favourite with Evelyn. She loves all of the different characters Justin portrays, especially Mr Tumble who always makes her giggle.
As a parent I really like the fact that throughout the program Evelyn started picking up some basic Makaton signs that she actually used day to day when she was smaller.

So when we were recently asked if we would like to review some toys from the Something Special range from Golden Bear Toys we jumped at the chance, knowing just how much Evelyn would love them.

The first toy we received is the Lights and Sounds Mr Tumble.

He is a great size who really resembles the TV version of Mr Tumble, even coming with his own matching spotty bag which opens and closes! What makes this toy extra special though is that if you press his hand Mr Tumble says some common phrases and sounds along with a very funny laugh. That's not all though, when you press Mr Tumble hand as well as talking his bow tie lights up!

Evelyn is besotted with the Lights and Sounds Mr Tumble and takes him everywhere with her, even storing little toys in the spotty bag. I really like the fact that his large non slip feet mean Mr Tumble can stand on his own. Mr Tumble has also become a firm favourite for nap time companion as she loves to stroke his super soft hair.

We also received Mr Tumbles Spotty Bag and I don't Evelyn could contain her excitement when she realised she actually had her very own spotty bag to store all her favourite things.

Evelyn is 2 and the bag was a great size for her, it does have an adjustable strap though if you need it slightly longer or shorter. The bag has lots of space inside and Evelyn loves using it to collect special things we find when out on our walks and the velcro fastening ensures everything stays inside.

The bag itself is made with lovely bright fabric and has 4 different textured spots on the front - green satin, orange velvet, red plush and blue corduroy which Evelyn loves feeling. Mr Tumbles spotty bag also  comes with 5 brightly coloured cards featuring Makaton signs to help establish recognition of some common words. I loved this addition and we have been using them regularly and Evelyn loves having a go at using the signs.

We have loved trying out some of the toys from the Mr Tumble range and they have a big thumbs up from us. They seem well made and sturdy and the bright colours and different textures are great for kids and really grab their attention.

If you want to check out more toys from the Something Special range you can find the full range over on the Golden Bear Toys website.

Do your little ones like Mr Tumble?

Run-Along Twirlywoo **REVIEW**

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook it will come as no surprise when I mention that Evelyn is a huge fan of the Twirlywoos. Its her favourite program and she gets so excited whenever she hears the theme song coming on the TV.

We have serveral Twirlywoo teddies that Evelyn takes everywhere so when we were given the opportunity to try out the new Run-Along Twirlywoo I jumped at the chance, knowing Evelyn's little face would be a picture receiving it and I wasn't wrong!
Upon opening the box there was feet stomping, squealing, laughter and lots of smiling when she realised it was a Twirlywoo in the box, the squealing got louder when she realised this Twirlywoo moved!

If you have ever watched the Twirlywoos you will have seen them dashing around with their rather cute and funny run which involves the Twirlywoos throwing their arms behind their backs. Its this cute run that the new toy Golden Bear toy focuses on and Evelyn has had lots of fun recreating with her very own run-along Twirlywoo.

The run-along twirlywoo is easy to use, you simply push gently on the hand which makes the Twirlywoo make a noise and begin running. I love that it is so easy to activate and use as it means even Evelyn who is 20 months is able to use it herself.
The Twirlywoo itself is brightly coloured and well made, its looks and feels sturdy and durable which is always a plus point for us as Evelyn can often get a little carried away when playing, The toy feels very soft too.

Both Evelyn and James found it hilarious to watch the Twirlywoo scuttle across the floor with its signature run and sounds. Our run-along Twirlywoo was able to run on any surface we placed it including the tiled kitchen floor, on carpet and even outdoors with ease although we found the smoother surfaces the best.

Each Twirlywoo is available in the run-along variety with each having its own unique sounds. The run-along Twirlywoo is available to purchase from Argos and is priced at £19.99, which we thought was a very fair price for an electronic toy that is well made and durable.

Check out the full range of Twirlywoo products including the run-along Twirlywoo on the Golden Bear website here - www.goldenbeartoys.com.

Do your children love the Twirlywoos? Which one is their favourite?
