Christmas at Boots - Create Your Own Bag of Joy This Christmas!

 **Advertisement Feature**

Can you believe it's almost Christmas? After the last 18 months having been turned totally upside down for so many, I know I'm not alone in saying that this last year has been a strange one. Time seems to have stood still but zoomed by all at the same time. Last Christmas just wasn't the same for so many with families and friends separated, traditions put on hold and for many a Christmas that just didn't feel right. And if there is one thing the last 18+ months have taught us, it’s just how much we miss our family and friends when we cannot be together, and Christmas is the perfect time to show them exactly how much that really is.

So this Christmas I have teamed up with Boots to showcase their fantastic range of Christmas gifts and share with you how you could make someone's Christmas with a festive surprise bag of joy.

Creating a Christmas gift with them in mind is the perfect way to show people just how much you care and how much you have missed them. Plus with so many gift ideas to choose from in the Boots festive ranges, including their iconic 3 for 2 offer and beautiful show stopper star gifts, you can create a special gift that is perfect for those you love. From children to parents, grandparents to friends, if you need some inspiration this Christmas, keep reading below to see what I chose and how I created a festive bag of joy from Boots for my own mum.

The idea behind my Boots bag of joy for my mums gift was to create a "treasure trove" of goodies, a little bit of everything such as something to eat, something to pamper herself with, something she may not have treated herself too and of course something fun too because everyone needs a couple of fun Christmas presents right?

Sanctuary Spa - Mini Spa Collection

The first item in my bag is from the "Christmas gifts for her" section of the Boots website and is this beautiful Sanctuary Spa mini spa collection. It comes perfectly presented in a lovely gift box and contains a salt scrub, body wash, body lotion, foaming bath soak, hand cream and a body puff. Everything anyone would need for a relaxing pamper in your own home. The mini size bottles are also perfect to gift people who may not have tried a certain product or brand before so they can try it out before buying a full size version if they love it!

Harry Potter Themed Gifts (Bath bomb, Coasters and a Candle)

Next up I wanted something fun and as she is a fan of Harry Potter, I found a fantastic selection of Harry Potter themed goodies on the Boots website. I chose three items which included a Slytherin style bath bomb, a Hogwarts candle with notes of crisp crushed pine, frosted leaves and fresh, aromatic woods complemented with tones of warm incense and enveloping patchouli. As well as these super fun house reveal coasters! To see what house you may be in, simply place a hot drink on to the coaster for 1 minute and watch as it reveals which house you have been sorted into.

Lindt Lindor Truffles

Inside my bag I wanted to also include a little edible treat and there were some great products to choose from on the Boots website. From traditional shortbread to chocolate and even items from ranges such as TGI Fridays and Nando's too! I ended up decided on some classic Lindt Lindor truffles as I know they are her favourites.

Boots hand, foot and face masks

Self care, pampering and relaxation were the main aims for my surprise bag and I was spoilt for choice when it came to gift ideas for this at Boots. With prices to suit all budgets, products to suit all skin types and tastes as well as style, I loved picking out some relaxation goodies for my mum. The first thing I chose was a couple of different face masks, I think face masks are a great gift as they can be thrown on after a hard day at work or when someone just needs some "me time" so they are great to have around. I chose two different types of masks, a hydrating mask and a moisturising mask. I also found a mask for the hands and feet too which I had to add, because if your giving your face some TLC, why not the hands and feet too right?

Boots have a huge range of masks with something suitable for every skin type so if you are looking for a handy little stocking filler, something to go in a surprise bag of joy like us or just a little treat for yourself you are sure to find something suitable for almost any part of your body!

No7 Already Luminating - Lift & Luminate Collection

It wouldn't be a Boots bag of joy without including some of their popular and always amazing, No 7 range. The No7 Already Luminating -  Life and Luminate Collection set contains a beautiful array of products from the No7 range for the ultimate gift of skin care goodies. The set contains the No7 lift & luminate triple action day cream, No7 lift & luminate triple action night cream, No7 lift & luminate triple action eye cream No7 lift & luminate triple action serum and the No7 advanced Retinol 1.5%.

I chose this set for my mums surprise Christmas gift this year because she absolutely loves skin care but (like most of us parents) never wants to treat herself to nice products. Christmas is the perfect time to treat our friends and loved ones with those products that they love or want to try but wouldn't ordinarily buy for themselves, such as this lovely set here.

Baylis & Harding Llama Pinata & Elf on the Shelf Bath Confetti

Of course, a gift should be thoughtful, but it can also be fun right? Within my surprise gift for my mum I wanted to include a few items that were fun and would make her smile and I was spoiled for choice with the extensive range of Christmas gifts available at Boots. I finally decided on these two products... A super fun piƱata style llama from Baylis and Harding which contains bath bubbles, a lip balm and a lip gloss. It is a really good size and so much fun, it’s certainly the talking point of the gift for sure.

I also chose another fun little gift, these elf on the shelf bath soap confetti. In recent years elf on the shelf has taken over the run up to Christmas and it’s something that always makes both adults and kids smile. I have included these in my mums gift to make her smile but I also thought they would make a great addition to a child's stocking or even a Christmas eve box/gift for a fun Christmas eve bath time before the big day!

And here is my final surprise bag of joy, made completely using products and gift ideas from the amazing Boots Christmas range...

If like so many of us you have some special people in your life that you are looking forward to being able to spend time with this Christmas, why not surprise them by creating your own bag of joy surprise using the fantastic selection of gifts available at Boots. Whether it be for a parent, a friend, a child, a colleague or an acquaintance who made a real difference to you during lockdown, Boots have gifts to suit all ages, tastes and likes so you are sure to find something they will love.

For me, Christmas is all about spending time with those we love. It's about making memories, catching up, eating way too much food and being able to make people smile with gifts that you have picked for them. So whether you are looking for stocking fillers, Christmas gifts for him, something perfect for your work secret Santa, or putting together your own surprise bag of joy gift, head over to Boots to check out their range of gifts.

xXx
