Can you believe it's almost Christmas? After the last 18 months having been turned totally upside down for so many, I know I'm not alone in saying that this last year has been a strange one. Time seems to have stood still but zoomed by all at the same time. Last Christmas just wasn't the same for so many with families and friends separated, traditions put on hold and for many a Christmas that just didn't feel right. And if there is one thing the last 18+ months have taught us, it’s just how much we miss our family and friends when we cannot be together, and Christmas is the perfect time to show them exactly how much that really is.

Christmas has to be one of my favourite times of year and after the stress, worry and separation of the last year, I know I am not alone in looking forward to hopefully a more normal Christmas this year. One that can be spent with friends and family, one where we can enjoy all of those traditions that make Christmas extra special and one where lots of new memories can be made. 

One thing I love doing at Christmas is giving gifts, I love getting to shop for those I love and care for and then seeing their faces when they open them. Now I don't know about you but I have definitely found that as kids get older, they get more and more difficult to buy for. Especially when they hit those "tween" and teen years where everything seems to just be about their friends and their devices. 

But when you really look around there are actually some great products out there that are perfect for those slightly older children (age 12+) and I wanted to share a selection of those below to hopefully inspire you with some ideas. 

Shnooks **REVIEW**

This week we were lucky enough to receive some new adorable little friends for Evelyn in the post... Shnooks!

I'm pretty sure most of you will have seen the Shnooks advert, along with the VERY catchy "hey look its a Shnook" theme tune! But when the small packaging arrived it was hard to believe a wild haired Shnook was going to come out of the tiny blister pack. However upon popping the pack out popped a cuddly Shnook with very fluffy hair! Check out our vlog here showing the kids opening their Shnooks...
