Hatching a Pixie! - Hatchimals Pixies **REVIEW**

**AD - Review**

Evelyn is a huge fan of Hatchimals from the giant hatching Hatchimals Eggs through to the Mermal Magic CollEGGtibles. She has loved each of the series that have been released and is a big fan of collectible the adorable little characters that hide inside.

So Evelyn was so excited to find out that Spinmaster, the makers behind Hatchimals have a brand new range that has just been released, Hatchimals Pixies and they are just as adorable as previous Hatchimal series!

Hatchimals Pixies are brand new collectible dolls that hatch to life with your loving touch. There are four different beautiful eggs to choose from and eight different pixies to collect. You could hatch a Pixie from four different Hatchtopia locations, Crystal Canyon, Polar Paradise, Wishing Star Waterfall or Glittering Garden.

To hatch your Pixie, hold the large egg in the palm of your hand and warm it up until the purple heart turns pink. Gently press down to crack the shell and find out which perfect Pixie is inside.

As you crack open your shimmering egg you will discover your Hatchimals Pixie. Every Pixie comes with a super stylish outfit inspired by their Hatchtopia location, magical glittery wings that really flutter and poseable heads. Inside the egg you will also find three surprise accessories hidden within a blind bag. The base of the egg also transforms into a bed for your pixie themed around the place your pixie is from.

Every Hatchimals Pixie will come with a "collectors guide" which will tell you a little more about the Pixie you hatch, where they are from and what they like. You can also tick off each Pixie as you hatch them until you collect the whole set.

Evelyn loved this collectors guide as unlike lots of guides which just give you a picture and name, this guide gave fun information about each Pixie, telling you about their little character which was a lovely added touch.

Evelyn really enjoyed the surprise element to the Hatchimals Pixies and loved having to rub the heart to change it from pink to purple before being able to hatch her new pixie. With surprise toys and blind bags being such a hit with kids these days I can see these being a huge hit with kids too.

The Pixies themselves are absolutely adorable and remind us a little bit of the L.O.L Surprise dolls. They have cute outfits and the most glittery hair styles we have seen in a while. Each Pixie also comes with her own bed and accessories which is a lovely addition to each set. I think Evelyn's favourite part of each Pixie though has to be their wings which shimmy and jiggle around!

The Hatchimals Pixies have definitely gone down well in our house and get a big thumbs up from Evelyn. She loves the surprise element and just how glittery each Pixie is. We love the fact their is not one but two surprise elements to these dolls (hatching the egg and then blind bag inside) and feel that really adds to the excitement when opening these dolls.

The only thing I would say is that the accessories that come with each doll are very small and prone to falling off the dolls so I imagine these could become easily lost. However this hasn't bothered Evelyn at all and she has spent lots of time playing with her new Pixies.

Hatchimals Pixies are priced at £7.99 each and are suitable for children aged 5+. They are currently available from Smyths.

Do you think your children would like the new Hatchimals Pixies?
